                                           Board of Directors Meeting

                                                 June 12, 2007

                                             Charley’s Restaurant

 Lion President Tom Hill called the meeting to order at 12:09 p.m. The following Lions were present: Tom Young, Peggy Booth, Darlene Bratcher, Anne Nase, Le Anne Emert, Tom Hill, Travis Harris, Ralph Charlton, Marvin Scott, and Jim Gussett.

 

  1. The minutes of the May 8th Board meeting were read and approved.
  2. The treasurer reported a balance of $ 19,362.17 in the Activity Account and a balance of $ 7,650.02 in the Administrative Account. There is $ 434 in the Memorial Fund, $ 699.44 in the Building Fund, and a CD in the amount of $ 7,189.36. All figures are as of May 31, 2007. The two members who were delinquent in their dues have paid. Lion Peggy has a laptop thanks to Lion Tom Hill. Lion Peggy mentioned that $ 9,552 has been pledged by members for Campaign Sight-First-Two and $ 7,032 has been received in cash.
  3. Club members will sell funnel cakes and soft drinks at the July 3rd airport food booth. There is a $ 65 set-up fee.
  4. A suggestion was made to place a thank you article in the Farmville Herald and to list the names of the winners in the LOVF Raffle.
  5. The Board made suggestions for the 2006-07 contributions allocation. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to accept these suggestions. A complete list of these will be sent to you once I receive them from out treasurer.
  6. A motion was made, seconded, and approved for the secretary to order pins for those Lions with perfect attendance for the year 2006-07 plus pins for long  years of service.
  7. The meeting was adjourned at 1:00 p.m.
